Marie Temara and the Tall-Girl Wardrobe Problem

Marie Temara built her following on TikTok by talking about life as a very tall woman, and clothes come up often. In 2022 she told interviewers that women's shoes and pants that are long enough are hard to find. This page collects what she has said about dressing, using three published interviews and six posts from her own Instagram.

Marie Temara is a Florida-based creator and plus-size model, reported as 27 in 2022 and 28 in April 2023. She started posting on TikTok after losing her accounting job in 2020. No shoe or clothing brand has announced a deal with her in the sources we read.

The Shoe Hunt, in Her Words

In October 2022 she said clothes and shoes were the real challenge of her height: "Pants are never long enough. I struggle with women's shoes and so does my mom." She added that finding women's shoes is very hard for both of them.

That is a common problem for tall shoppers, and her experience points to the usual workarounds: brands that offer extended size ranges, online-only lines, and men's or unisex styles in sneakers and boots. She has not named the labels she relies on, so none are listed here.

From "Man in Heels" to Ultra-Feminine

In April 2023 she recalled being told she looked like a "man in heels." Her response, she said, was to lean the other way: "I am now ultra-feminine because I don't ever want to be called a man again." She said she wants to change the idea that being tall is a masculine trait, which goes a long way toward explaining the dressier looks in her posts.

Family Videos and a Growing Audience

Her family became part of the content in 2022. She told The Sun, as quoted by the New York Post, that ordinary family life turned out to interest viewers, so they made more videos together. Squeezing into cars and finding clothes that fit were recurring themes.
