In 2024 she joined the Paramount+ drama Landman as lawyer Rebecca Falcone. Landman put her in a cast with Billy Bob Thornton, Demi Moore and Jon Hamm.
NEXT Magazine describes Rebecca as the combative lawyer sent to deal with any problem in the Texas oilfields that needs a legal eye. Wallace has admitted that the character’s steely confidence is very unlike her own personality.
She told the magazine that part of playing a lawyer is learning to take the emotion out of the job and look only at the facts, which she found tricky in the first season’s storyline involving Ariana.
The series comes from Taylor Sheridan, who wrote every episode. Wallace told Variety that scripts arrived as filming went on, and she praised the way he writes strong women.
In an interview with NEXT Magazine she said Sheridan talked through Rebecca’s backstory with her in depth when she was first cast as Rebecca. She called castmates such as Sam Elliott and Demi Moore legends and said she had never been trusted so much on a show, crediting season two director Stephen Kay with giving the actors room to experiment.
One moment stuck with her. During a season two shoot she looked around the holding tent between takes and saw those veterans chatting together, which she described as a pinch me moment.
A second season storyline about Rebecca’s fear of flying showed a softer side of the lawyer. Wallace told Variety she welcomed the chance to make the character feel more human.
She told NEXT Magazine that Sheridan must have 28 hours in a day given how much he produces, and said his pace inspired her. The fear of flying episode was not the first time Rebecca cracked, she noted, since a run in with a snake in season one had given her a taste of that.
By then Rebecca had become in house counsel for M-Tex, the oil company at the centre of the series. Wallace told TV Insider that the crew built the inside of a private jet in the studio and rocked it like a roller coaster, and that the flight scenes were shot in order.
Because the scenes ran in sequence, she said, she spent hours playing Rebecca as tense and anxious before the story let her laugh, which felt like a release.
She also told TV Insider that she approaches Rebecca’s big scenes by building to them gradually rather than starting at full intensity, since the character has to pick her battles. Now that Rebecca works for M-Tex, she added, the old distrust between the lawyer and Tommy has started to fade.
In the same interview she said she was excited that the show had been renewed for a third season, calling it a dream of a job.
Her first major role was Fiona Miller in the Hallmark series When Calls the Heart, which she played from 2019 to 2025. NEXT Magazine notes that she learned much of her craft in Hallmark films and series before Landman.
The show also introduced her to her future husband, Kevin McGarry, who plays Nathan Grant.
In 2026 she starred in the comedy film Wingman, released on Apple TV in May. Harland Williams directed the film, and the cast includes Jamie Kennedy and Russell Peters.
Williams also wrote the script and stars alongside Evan Marsh. The story follows a self styled wingman whose extreme coaching drags a man through a string of dating disasters as he tries to win back his ex, played by Shiva Negar.
Deadline reported that Wingman premiered at the Malibu Film Festival before opening in cinemas in Canada and Australia in May 2026. It reached Apple TV in the United States on 26 May.
