Cristin Milioti was introduced to many as "the mother" in How I Met Your Mother, but she has talent beyond that iconic role. Broadway-trained and with serious indie film credentials, Cristin might be one of the most versatile performers of her generation when you consider the vulnerability and quirk she can imbue into any character.
Before establishing her resume in television, she was on Broadway making headlines with a Tony-nominated performance in Once, in which she played piano and sang live; not at all easy.
Emotionalism and musicality infiltrate everything Cristin does, from sci-fi (Palm Springs) to intense drama (Made for Love). She makes the bizarre seem beautiful in a phenomenal way.
Whether it is a convoluted plot or a down-to-earth moment, Cristin can be believable and magnetic when imbibed. As expressive as her face is, her words can make an entire scene come alive. Milioti lives from work, going underground. That same veil of mystery and approachability keeps bringing back fans.
