Anya Taylor-Joy feet are usually framed by the thinnest straps a designer will make. Footwear News calls strappy, minimalist sandals her go to style, and Vogue in May 2026 credited her with "the naked shoe": a clear perspex strip holding the foot in, worn at Miley Cyrus's Walk of Fame ceremony.
Footwear News reported in March 2026 that Jimmy Choo's Minny sandal has been one of her most frequently worn red carpet shoes, with Aquazzura's Olie a recent favorite. That same week she wore three Giuseppe Zanotti styles while promoting The Super Mario Galaxy Movie: Intriigo strap sandals in black at Vanity Fair's Oscar party, Intriigo mules on Today, and ivory Audrinette 90 sandals on Late Night With Seth Meyers on March 19.
The Audrinette has a strap across the toes, another over the foot that wraps the heel, a gold buckle and a 90mm heel, about 3.5 inches, and retails for $995.

At Miley Cyrus's Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony on May 22, 2026, where she gave a speech, she wore an archival 1990 Bob Mackie crystal fringe halter gown. Vogue described her sandals as "barely there (quite literally)," a clear perspex strip across the foot, and placed them in the naked dressing trend.
Two years earlier she had tried a similar idea. For the Sydney premiere of Furiosa on May 2, 2024 she wore Aquazzura PVC So Nude slingbacks with Paco Rabanne, Footwear News reported, calling them practically invisible. On the same tour she switched to studded Maison Margiela platform boots for a London photocall.

Footwear News traced her shoe style back to 2020, when The Queen's Gambit made her a fashion name and stylist Law Roach dressed her. Gowns came with matching pointed pumps: glittering pairs under an emerald Dior lurex gown and satin pink stilettos under a pink 1960s style Dior dress. At the 2021 Venice Film Festival photocall for Last Night in Soho she wore strappy Giuseppe Zanotti Harmony sandals with Rodarte.
Working with stylist Ryan Hastings on Furiosa, she mixed classics like a suede Christian Louboutin So Kate pump at the UK premiere with the clear Aquazzura slingbacks in Sydney. She has also fronted Jaeger-LeCoultre and become a Dior ambassador and a face of Tiffany and Co.
On the Furiosa tour she also wore practically invisible Aquazzura slingbacks to the Australian premiere in Sydney on May 2, 2024, and studded black Maison Margiela platform boots from the fall 2016 couture collection for a London photocall.
