Footwear News, in a style history first published in 2020 and updated in April 2025, called her fashion sense fun and feminine. It pointed to flirty minidresses, an edgy girl next door take with a leather skirt, and a businesslike side in vests and double breasted suits, from before Twilight to the Another Simple Favor era.

At the Los Angeles premiere of the Netflix film at the Egyptian Theatre Hollywood, she wore black pumps with sharp pointed toes, satin uppers and stiletto heels of two to three inches, according to a Yahoo report from October 11, 2024. The film is a 1970s Los Angeles thriller she directed and starred in.
In New York later that month she wore chestnut brown T-strap heels with a Mary Jane inspired shape, glossy leather and thin stilettos, with a white blazer and miniskirt set finished in gold buttons. Yahoo also mentioned chocolate suede Santoni boots the previous day.
At an April 2025 London photo call for Another Simple Favor with costar Blake Lively, she paired a vest and scarlet skirt with Christian Louboutin's Iriza in metallic gold, a demi d'Orsay pump with a pointed toe and a tall stiletto, Yahoo reported on April 15, 2025.
On Monday, April 28, 2025 she sat down with Jimmy Fallon wearing a strapless Carolina Herrera minidress in a shade called Sunset. Footwear News said her Santoni spring 2025 sandals had a slingback strap and a gradient crystal toe strap with a wavy design, in gold and silver; the brand also offered blue and silver.
The Footwear News gallery fills in earlier years. She wore Casadei heels with a Marc Jacobs dress at the Los Angeles Trolls premiere in October 2016, and ankle boots with a turtleneck and leather miniskirt for The Day Shall Come at SXSW in 2019. At the Kate Spade New York show that September she matched burgundy platform sandals to a burgundy leather dress, and in December 2022 she wore Santoni pumps with a motorcycle jacket and floral dress.
In our view, the through line is contrast: a tough jacket or leather piece with a dainty heel, or a sharp pump with soft tailoring.

Wikipedia records a Tony nomination for the 1998 Broadway musical High Society, an Oscar nomination for Up in the Air and the Pitch Perfect series. She has voiced the lead in the Trolls films since 2016, starred in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, 50/50, End of Watch, Into the Woods, The Accountant and A Simple Favor, earned an Emmy nomination for the short form series Dummy, and had a 2012 hit with "Cups."
