Kung Fu, Sanda and a Move to Buenos Aires

Pérez came to mixed martial arts through traditional striking. Clarín reported that she began training in Zárate, starting with kung fu and sanda, the Chinese kickboxing style. In her UFC athlete profile she explains that she wanted a contact sport because several of her brothers played rugby.

At 20 she moved to Buenos Aires to learn Brazilian jiu jitsu and get closer to MMA. She lists a purple belt in Brazilian jiu jitsu and a red belt in kung fu among her ranks, along with two South American sanda titles, and says she worked as a fitness instructor before fighting became her job.

Regional Titles Before the UFC

She turned professional in 2018, and her early fights included bouts for the Collision Fight Ultimate promotion in Uruguay.

In August 2021 she became the first Samurai Fight House women’s bantamweight champion, finishing Alessandra Tainara with a head kick in Brazil. She lost the belt that November when she was disqualified for illegal knees against Tamires Vidal, which is still one of only two defeats on her record.

She won the title back in Buenos Aires in May 2022 with a stoppage of Stephanie Bragayrac. Less than four months later she was making her UFC debut.

From a Debut Loss to Seven Straight Wins

That debut, on 3 September 2022 in Paris, did not go to plan. Fighting at featherweight against Stephanie Egger, she was submitted with a rear naked choke in the second round.

She dropped back to bantamweight in July 2023 and has not lost since. In that comeback fight she landed 10 takedowns, a record for a women’s bantamweight bout in the UFC. Decision wins over Lucie Pudilová in November 2023 and Joselyne Edwards at UFC 302 in June 2024 followed.

Back in Paris in September 2024 she submitted Darya Zheleznyakova with an arm triangle choke in the first round. The day before, she had missed weight by half a pound, so the bout went ahead at a catchweight and she was fined 20 percent of her purse.

Since then she has added unanimous decisions over Karol Rosa at UFC 311 in January 2025, Macy Chiasson in Mexico City in February 2026 and Norma Dumont in Las Vegas on 26 September 2026. MMA Fighting reported that security had to step in between the two fighters after the final bell of the Dumont fight.

Before the Dumont fight, the UFC published a video in which she called herself the number one contender. Kayla Harrison holds the women’s bantamweight title.

Fighting Style and the Story Behind Fiona

Pérez fights with constant forward pressure. On her UFC profile she names ground and pound as her favourite grappling technique and pressure as her favourite striking approach, and the UFC lists her fighting style as kung fu.

The nickname comes from Princess Fiona in the Shrek films. According to the UFC, people say she looks like a princess at the weigh ins and like an ogre once she steps into the cage the next night.

Family and Life Outside the Octagon

Pérez is a mother, and she has spoken about balancing family life with her career. In 2021 Clarín wrote about the sacrifices involved in chasing a UFC place while spending long periods away from him.

When the UFC asked about her heroes, she named her father and said he believed in her before anyone else did. Her Instagram mixes fight week content with lighter everyday posts.

How to Tell if Ailín Pérez Feet Pics Are Reposts

Genuine photos of Pérez come from two places. The first is her own Instagram account, @ailinperezufc, which is where all six embeds on this page come from. The second is official UFC media from fight weeks, such as weigh in, open workout and post fight images.

Ailín Pérez feet pics that turn up on gallery sites are usually lifted from those same sources. To judge one, look for the original post. If the image has no date, no event and no account attached, or the framing looks cut down from a wider picture, treat it as a repost. Edited images of fighters circulate widely too, so a photo that does not appear on her account or in UFC coverage should not be taken at face value.
